Fusuno F1

The Fusuno F1 canopy is a very distinctive design. It's not a canopy that is airbrushed to super fine detail and then lacquered to a gloss shine. This canopy is more of a hard working canopy, designed for day to day wear and tear. It is a thicker fiberglass than the standard T-Rex 500 canopy and feels a lot more rugged and stiff to the touch. There is significantly more space around the swashplate and control rods and the height of the canopy over the battery tray is higher than the stock canopy. This latter design feature presumably to make room for slightly larger lipos.

This night fly system is designed to be an improved version of the typical glow wire installation seen on most night fly helicopters. The system itself is a number of LEDs wired in series to produce self-adhesive strips of light. The strips themselves come supplied as one long strip and it is down to the user/installer to cut it down as required and install. Each strip can be cut into multiple smaller strips and all that is required is to use the supplied wire to connect the strips together.

The following is a review of the Align multi-function tester, a device which can not only monitor the status of a lipo but also perform servo testing amongst other things.

A few months ago I became aware of a new device that CSM Ltd. was testing to improve engine mixture control. The purpose of the unit was to maintain a more or less constant engine head temperature through the entire flight so that the ‘usual’ engine leaning towards the end of the tank wouldn’t happen. This sounded like a great idea and I was eager to try one of those units right away.
