F1 Fusuno Canopy (T-Rex 500)

Fusuno F1The Fusuno F1 canopy is a very distinctive design. It's not a canopy that is airbrushed to super fine detail and then lacquered to a gloss shine. This canopy is more of a hard working canopy, designed for day to day wear and tear. It is a thicker fiberglass than the standard T-Rex 500 canopy and feels a lot more rugged and stiff to the touch. There is significantly more space around the swashplate and control rods and the height of the canopy over the battery tray is higher than the stock canopy. This latter design feature presumably to make room for slightly larger lipos.
The canopy paintwork is ok, it looks fine from the normal sort of distance you might hover a helicopter away from yourself. However, get it up close and some minor scuffs were visible on the canopy front slats. It's a reasonably decent job considering the cost of only $34.

Conclusion
I found this design of canopy did require some time to grow on me but having flown it for a while I've come to appreciate it's form. As a canopy the paintwork is reasonable, the cost is very reasonable and it offers a much more rugged, hard wearing choice than the current Align canopies.
Overall I like this canopy as it hard wearing and distinctive.
