Align 500 Carbon Tail Blades

BladesThese new blades are direct replacements for the stock plastic blades. They are of course much stiffer than the plastic blades but they are also longer at 70mm. These two combined should have a significant impact on both overall thrust as well as the crispness of the blade in it's response. The blades are really nicely finished and look very nice once fitted.
Unsuprisingly after fitting these blades I had to drop my gyro gain. This is not suprising as the response is much better and tail wag was almost inevitable. Once the gain is adjusted you are rewarded with a crisper tail and also a much more powerful tail for very fast backwards flight, rippers and such moves which demand high tail power.

Conclusion
Fitting these blades really improved the tail response and power, definitely a worthwhile update for 3D flight.
